Amy Nelson is a Limited Term Faculty of Foundations at 福利小视频. She earned her BA in Studio Art from Illinois College is 2012 with a focus on Painting and Mixed Media. She earned her MFA from Georgia Southern University 2022, where she continued working with Mixed Media. She has experience teaching 2D, 3D, Environmental Arts, Art Appreciation, Drawing I, Figure Drawing, and Aqueous Media.
Amy Nelson has exhibited her work in solo, duo, and group shows across the country. She has presented solo exhibitions at the Contemporary Gallery at Georgia Southern University and the Woodcock Gallery at Illinois College, and a duo exhibition at the Erman B. White Gallery in Kansas. Her work has also appeared in group exhibitions at venues such as Sulfur Studios in Savannah, the Rosengart Gallery in Statesboro, the Urban Arts Collective in St. Louis, and the Woodcock Gallery in Jacksonville, Illinois. Nelson’s interdisciplinary practice combines digital and physical processes to explore themes of memory, grief, perception, and materiality.
