Dr. Blair Handy is an instructor of audiology. She received her Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Florida in 2012. Her academic coursework examines the impact of hearing loss across the human lifespan, from infancy through adulthood. It encompasses the anatomy and physiology of the auditory system, the diagnosis and classification of hearing disorders, audiometric evaluation and interpretation, as well as approaches to hearing habilitation and rehabilitation. As a clinical audiologist, she is committed to minimizing the barriers imposed by hearing loss and enhancing access to newborn hearing screenings, particularly for families utilizing alternative birthing options.
